It's looking great.

As much as I hate to admit it, it really is. It's going to be a great Stadium. Hopefully it lives up to its predecessor.

The first picture looks like it was of the computer. I wounder if this stadium would be renovated like the old one.

Greg Cohen said...

I think that pic was definitely doctored. It does look like it went through Photoshop, but still it's a cool pic.

Not sure about the renovation.

I wouldn't think that either but you never know. I'm also wondering what they would do for opening day next year?

Greg Cohen said...

The Yanks have been and always will be a first class organization so I wouldn't expect anything less for opening day next year.

If you've been to opening days at the current place you have an idea of what I'm talking about. So I guess we should expect that plus a little more being that it's a new stadium. Besides that I have no idea what to expect.

I have never been to an opening day. My Parents take me to a game in the summar once a year. This year I saw the game when sir sir sidney pitched very well against the angels. Too bad mo blew it.

Any word on if they'll let people go the bathroom during God Bless America?

Greg Cohen said...

I know this goes without saying, but you should definitely get to an opening day when you get a chance.

Greg Cohen said...

LOL, I have no idea Crosetti. But I was able to get to the bathroom during everything 7th inning stretch I was there for. Thank God for the bleachers.

You can get those tix for face value if you buy them when they go on sale. It's tough, but I've been able to get them at face value a few times.

Really?

Liam,

Yes, I've been able to get them twice at face value, I may have been very lucky, but still I was able to get them.

That's what she said,

Welcome to the blog.

The only special game that I went to was when Louisina Lightings number got retired.

If they were going to retire bernies # I would get tics as soon as I can so I can see it.

i was at that game too,vs baltimore, rodrigo lopez, august 23rd 2003? i think it was. i remember they announced that bobby bonds passed away.

Anonymous said...

Yea I remember about Bobby Bonds. I think that Bob sheperd was crying a little bit when he was talking about it.

Mike Missina Pitched that game. I think he went 8 an 2 thids letting up six runs.

Yes it was the 23rd.

My dad was a big fan of both Ron and Bobby. He was sad when booby died. He didn't care when the yanks lost 6-2.

i cannot believe how good it is looking... i cannot wait to get my tickets!

Same here?

The first image isn't doctored or photoshopped, it's just an evening shot with a long exposure. You can see that it's either night (or dusk) and a lot of the internal/work lights are on.

It's looking beautiful. I love how it's a bit more "open" feeling by the scoreboard area. Comparing to YS now, it feels less like a big wall, and more like an actual scoreboard.

Oh, I did not notice the back round of the stadium.

Greg Cohen said...

Ahh, thanks for the info Pinstripes.

By the way, I added four more shots to the update.

My favorite shot is the last one. Neato!

I hope to see you guys at the new digs!

Let's Have a "Sliding Into Home" Night (In the bleachers?)

I like the idea Mike, and that's probably where I'll be sitting at most of the games I goto this year. I'll try and set something up.

I noticed on the second picture I think they might of gotten the sore board working.

Greg Cohen said...

Yup, it looks like a test run.

Anonymous said...

The next test run will most likely be the stadium lights.

Greg Cohen said...

Probably. That might not happen for a while, though.

If the yankees get CC, Burrnet, and Peavy, I wounder who would star opening day at the new stadium? If Moose comes back, then it would probably be him.
