Arizona Fall League Begins Today

Tonight is the first night of game for Arizona Fall League. Seven Yankees have made the trip to Arizona and will be playing for the Peoria Javelinas. Those seven Yanks are Phil Hughes, OF Austin Jackson, RHP Jeff Marquez, 1B Juan Miranda, INF Kevin Russo, RHP Humberto Sanchez, and RHP Kevin Whelan. For a breakdown on each player go check out Chad Jennings' blog here.

Phil Hughes will start the opener tonight against the Surprise Rafters, and you can follow the game here.

As long as there are Yankees playing I will be posting Hawaii Winter Ball, AFL, and Caribbean Ball updates all off-season.

I heard on the radio that the yanks expect Jackson to be the starting center fielder in 2010. So all the yanks need is a center fielder that's willing to be a yankee for a year.Hear are some opsions. One is Ken Griffy JR. I know he is old but one year won't hurt him. Another is Ichio. It would be cool to see Ichio on the team. Or they can go with Melky for one more season. Lastly, good luck to all to the other players that are in the fall league.
