New York Yankees ace Chien-Ming Wang threw 25 pitches Friday in his first throwing session off a bullpen mound since hurting his foot in June.Looks like he's progressing nicely, hopefully he has no setbacks and is at full strength for spring training."It's better. It's good," Wang said.
Wang also made 20 throws off a half-mound before the bullpen session.

Wang is not an ace...
Hahahaha.
Fair enough, you're entitled to an opinion. And to be honest I can't necessarily disagree with you, but he is very, very good, and the Yankees do need him.
The pitcher who can win as many games as possible for his team is an Ace.
So, as far as I'm concerned, Wang is our Ace.
BTW, guess who was the only Yankees pitcher that beat both Roy Halladay and CC and pitched a two-hitter as the Yankees beat Boston 4-1 this season?
You make valid points Raven.
So just what was that injury Wang had? And why so long to recover from it?
Mike
Mike, he had a mid-foot sprain of the Lisfranc ligament of the right foot and a partial tear of the peroneal longus tendon of the right foot.
Not sure why it took so long.
Thanks, Greg.
