- Melky Cabrera (Aguilas) went 0-for-1 to drop his avg. to .361 in the DWL playoffs. He was also caught trying to steal a base.
Melky had to leave the game in the fourth inning after being hit on the elbow by a pitch from Yankees head-hunter Daniel Cabrera. If you have forgotten, Cabrera has made a habit out of hitting Yankees with pitches. Well that's not entirely fair, he hits everyone. In 2008 he led the league with 18 hit batsmen. There is no word on the severity of Melky's injury. A big thanks to River Ave. Blues for the news.
- Wilkins Arias (Aguilas) pitched .1 of an inning and allowed three runs - one earned - on two hits and a walk. He has an ERA of 4.05 in the DWL playoffs.
- Juan Miranda (Licey) went 0-for-2, dropping his avg. to .235.

Hi Greg. Mike from the Sommer Frieze. I don't know if he'll go north with the team, but at least Albaladejo's numbers in the PR WL have been great. Encouraging for a guy who missed most of 2007.
The more guys, the more depth, the better.
Yep, very true.
Also, I think he will end up being a very big part of the pen this year. They're going to need a guy or two to step up and I think he may just be that guy.
