Teixeira To Be Introduced Tomorrow

Yesterday Anthony McCarron reported that the Yankees were making plans for Teixeira's press conference, and that it could happen as soon as Tuesday. Today, Bryan Hoch confirms that the press conference will be tomorrow at the old Yankee Stadium:
Yankee Stadium is set to host what may be its final gala on Tuesday, as the Yankees prepare to introduce another winter prize in first baseman Mark Teixeira.

Teixeira agreed to an eight-year, $180 million contract with the Yankees on Dec. 23, though an official announcement was delayed by the holidays. The club has scheduled a news conference for 1 p.m. ET in the Sony Stadium Club.

I haven't read this anywhere, but I'm sure they will be showing it on the YES Network.

I think I told you this before about the CC conference:

If you have DVR, tape it, or go online to Yankees.com as soon as you get home, because they'll probably have clips of it on there already.

Also, I think YES Network airs it again at 10pm.

So, you'll definitley see it sooner or later.

Yep, and worse comes to worse, YES will post it on their YouTube site and I'll post that here.

No big deal Liam, you'll see it one way or another.

what channel will it be on during the day? YES or ESPN

Greg Cohen said...

I was just watching "The Wheelhouse" on SNY and I heard Scott Ferral say that "now they are reports that the Yankees got [Oliver] Perez"

Do you guys know if this is real or not?

Brian Danuff said...

Liam,

Anytime.

The yanks realy got Perez?

Brian Danuff said...

I don't know I just heard it on SNY.

Nothing on Yankees.com about it.

Maybe it just happened now.

Greg Cohen said...

For the love of God no.

As of now I haven't heard or read anything about this anywhere so I'm going to keep my hopes up.

Do you know what I also heard just now? Twins owner past away.

Brian Danuff said...

Aw man. I mean, I'm not a Twins fan, but like Liam said,

"The poor guy can't see his new ballpark."

Brian Danuff said...

Amazing how this post was about Teixeira, comments switched to Oliver Perez, and now to the Twins owner.

Greg Cohen said...

It's basically become an "open thread." Oh well, nothing wrong with that.

Thats kinda funny.

I can't find anything relating Oliver Perez to the Yankess. If its true then... I... I dont know anything about life and common sense anymore.

Anonymous said...

he just says stuff like that, if there is a story about how the yanks should get someone, chances are he's going to say, "now they yankees are gonna get ___". he also said it because of the mets pitching situation, and how they havent signed lowe yet

Anonymous said...

I think its stupid if this is true.

Anonymous said...

the yankees better have not got perez. that is one of the worst moves they could possibly make. it is sad about the twins owner, he's built the twins to what they are, and they're getting a new stadium and everything and now he's not gonna see it.
i also heard Milton Bradley is going to sign with the Cubs. That counts Abreu out for them.

I told you guys that because that's what I heard and I wanted to inform you about this just in case you didn't know. I know it wasn't true and I'm sorry if I caused anybody trouble.
