Pettitte Says He isn't on the List, and Doesn't Want to See the List

"My name is not on that list," Pettitte said yesterday at George M. Steinbrenner Field, where Yankees pitchers and catchers reported for spring training and took physicals. "Nobody has ever told me [it is], and plus I have never done a steroid, so it can't be."

"I wouldn't want to see anybody go through what I went through," Pettitte said. "If the names don't have to come out, I don't want to see the names come out. I hate to see one name be leaked but I don't need to see names. It was 2003, six years ago."

I think this is the first player I've heard say they don't want to see the list. Not surprisingly, it's a guy who has already guilty of cheating.
