What's up Jon?

Well that was a hanger... 1-0 Braves.

Did you see that play by Teixeira? LOL. Tino was great, but Tex might be our best 1st baseman since Donny.

Wang looked fantastic. One hanging slider aside, he seemed to have excellent control, which is great.

And how about the Netherlands leading DR in the 9th inning 3-2? Holy upset.

Wang looked very good, and yes, Teixeira is ridiculous defensively at first. Arguably the best in the game, and yea he might be better than Tino.

Jeter is 1-for-1 against Canada so far today, but the US is losing 1-0 after one and a half.

USA tied it up at 1. Jeter had a line drive double down the RF line.

How about them Dutch handing the DR a 3-2 loss?

Anonymous said...

I worded that kinda funny, the double was in the 1st inning, USA tied it on a sac fly.

The Yankee game has been pretty uneventful so far.

I know, very surprising upset there. I can't believe Sidney Ponson held that lineup down.

Joey Votto just smashed a homer to give Canada a 2-1 lead.

Votto's HR was a BOMB.

Coke gave up a HR to someone I've never heard of.

Jeter ground out to short in his second AB.

Coke looked ok other than the mistake fastball down and in to... some guy named Jones.

Oh great, Latroy Hawkins is now pitching for the US. WOO HOO!

Is the United States really going to shit the bed for a second straight tournament?

Greg Cohen said...

Wow, Hawkins actually didn't give up a run.

And yes, I wouldn't be surprised if the US lost again. Half the team backed out at the last minute anyway.

Youkilis ties it up for the US with a solo homer.

Brian McCann hits a two-run homer to give the US a 4-2 lead.

Leadoff single for Jeter, he's now 2-3. Rollins pinch running, so Jeter gets his work in and gets out. Excellent.

Greg Cohen said...

Yep, very good to see Jeter out of the game. I was pretty pissed Johnson let him play all 9 against the Yankees the other day.

Youkilis is such a good hitter. It pisses me off.
