(AAA) Scranton-Wilkes Barre (11-0) beat Rochester 7-2: Box Score | Recap
The red hot SWB AAA Yankees continued their winning ways defeating Rochester (Twins) by a score of 7-2. SWB is 11-0 on the season. The 11 wins set a franchise record for longest win streak.
PITCHING: Jason Johnson made his 3rd start of the year, by far his best so far. Johnson was staked to a 3-0 lead but gave up a 2-run homer in the 2nd to make it SWB 3-2. Johnson really settled down after that home run. He did not allow another hit until a single with 1 out in the 7th inning, and gave up only 2 walks, both erased by doubleplays. That was all the scoring off Johnson and Yankee pitching for the rest of the game. Johnson picked up the win (1-0)
Johnson's line: 6.1 IP, 2 runs, 3 hits, 2 K--2 walks, ERA 3.38
83 pitches - 56 strikes, 10 groundouts - 7 flyouts.
BULLPEN: Mark Melancon relieved Johnson with 1 out and a runner on 1st in the 7th inning. Melancon forced a doubleplay to end the 7th. Melancon pitched a scoreless 8th. He gave up a 4-pitch walk to start the inning, but erased the runner with a doubleplay. He then gave up a single, but got the next batter to strikeout to end the inning. Brett Tomko came on to pitch a scoreless 9th inning, allowing a single and picking up a strikeout.
OFFENSE: The Yanks wasted no time taking a 3-0 lead in the 1st inning. Doug Bernier doubled, Eric Duncan singled, Shelley Duncan walked, Juan Miranda then hit a 2-run singled, and that was followed with a sac-fly by Angel Berroa. SWB made it 4-2 in the 2nd, Chris Stewart singled, P.J. Pilittere doubled, and then Stewart scored on an E. Duncan groundout. In the 7th inning SWB picked up 3 more runs. E. Duncan and Todd Linden singled, and S. Duncan hit a 3-run homer (4) to make the final score SWB 7-2.
NOTES: Former Yankee farmhand Jason Jones took the loss for Rochester, giving up 4 runs on 7 hits over 5 innings. Eric Duncan has an 8 game hit streak.

Any updates on Jackson's elbow?
No, I haven't read anything.
Rochester is the twins, not the mets.
Greg,
Fantasy question time, youre an educated peer so I ax ya... haha..
I want Glen Perkins, kid is NASTY, hes available, and only person i can drop from my rotation that makes sense is the Wanger.... Should i do it?
Thanks Anon, it's been fixed. Have to give Big Guy a heads up about that.
Geeez Derek, I'm not sure. I'd consider it because you just don't know if Wang is going to find it anytime soon.
