He won't be doing these all the time by when he does I will

(AAA) Scranton/Wilkes-Barre (13-1) beat Rochester 17-14: Box Score - Recap

The SWB Yankees (14-1) and Rochester (Twins) played one of the wackiest games of the year so far. SWB picked up a 17-14 win in 13 innings.

PITCHING: Kei Igawa and a 30 mph wind are not a good mix. Igawa gave up 4 homers in the game. He leads the league in homers given up with 8. After being staked to a 3 run lead in the 1st, he gave up 2 unearned runs in the bottom of the 1st on a an error and a 2-run homer to cut SWB's lead to 3-2. In the 4th, he gave up 3 runs on 2 solo homers, a double, and rbi single, to give Rochester a 5-3 lead. The homer barrage wasn't over. In the 5th he gave up 2 singles and a 3-run homer to give Rochester an 8-3 lead. Igawa's line: 4.0 IP, 8 Runs, 6 earned runs, 9 hits, 0 K--2 BB, 78 pitches--52 strikes, 5 groundouts - 5 flyouts.

BULLPEN: J B Cox came on to pitch the 5th Cox gave up a 2 runs on 2 singles and a double to up Rochester's lead to 10-7. Cox gave up a run in the 6th on a double and single to up Rochester's lead to 11-7.

Zach Kroenke threw scoreless 7th & 8th innings.

Brett Tomko pitched a perfect 9th. Tomko had a 12-11 lead going into the bottom of the 10th but gave up a solo homer to tie the game at 12.

Anthony Claggett came on to pitch the 11th with a 13-12 lead, but could not hold the lead giving up a run to tie it at 13. Claggett had a 14-13 lead in the 12th and blew it with a solo homer to tie the game at 14. Claggett pitched poorly but was credited with the win. (2-0).
Eric Wordekemper came on to pitch a scoreless 13th for the save.

OFFENSE: SWB didn't waste anytime scoring 3 runs in the 1st. Doug Bernier and John Rodriguez led the game off with walks. Shelley Duncan followed with a 3-run homer (5). SWB fought back from an 8-3 deficit with 4 runs in the 5th. Juan Miranda picked up an RBI on a groundout. Austin Jackson had a RBI double. Eric Duncan rbi single and scored on a wild pitch to cut Rochester's lead to 8-7. SWB picked up 2 runs in the 8th on Rodriguez' RBI double, and Todd Linden's sac fly to make it 11-9 Rochester. The Yankees tied the score at 11 with 2 unearned runs in the 9th off former Yankee Sean Henn. Eric Duncan doubled, Chris Stewart singled, E. Duncan scored on a huge error. Rodriguez followed with an RBI single. Juan Miranda led off the 10th with a solo homer (4) to give SWB a 12-11 lead. SWB scored a solo run in the 11th to go ahead 13-12 on singles by Rodriguez, Linden and Shelley Duncan. The Yanks retook the lead in the 12th. E. Duncan walked, stole 2nd, move to 3rd on Stewart's sac bunt, and scored on Chris Malec's run scoring sac fly to give SWB a 14-13 lead. Top of the 13th, S. Duncan had a 2run double, E. Duncan had an RBI single, and the Yanks led 17-14 for the win. Finally !

NOTES: Mark Melancon, Angel Berroa and David Robertson up to NY. Justin Leone was put on the DL. SWB added Chris Malec from Trenton, and Luis Nunez from Tampa. Shelley Duncan had 6 RBI in the game to give him the IL lead with 20. Miranda and Linden are tied for 2nd with 18 each. Austin Jackson and Todd Linden extended their hitting streaks to 10 games.
