Joba Sharp In Final Spring Tuneup

Chamberlain pitched for Double-A Trenton today against Triple-A Scranton/Wikes-Barre. In 5.1 innings he allowed two runs on two hits and three walks, and struck out five. He threw 76 pitches, 50 for strikes. After allowing two hits and a walk to start the game he retired the next 16 in a row.

"It took me just a little bit to get going," Chamberlain said. "I wanted to work on fastball command and my changeup, and I think I did a great job with those two. I think it was one of my most productive days as far as consistency. It was good."

Captain,

I have some bad news about Liam. He posted a comment on my site around 4 hours ago saying he had a 105 fever and that he was staying the night in a hospital.

I feel really bad for him. I hope he gets better.

Holy shit, 105 is bad... I hope he's OK. Get well soon Liam.

Did you see Derek Lowe tonight? He was lights-out. Look at his line:

8.0 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 4 SO,

Makes me regret saying we shouldn't get him.

Derek Lowe is simply a gamer. I wouldn't have minded him on the Yankees.

Lowe was great tonight.

Lowe is a solid pitcher. But I think the yankees made the right decision signing Burnett instead. I think Lowe would not be as sucuessful back in the AL East. Burnett is a red sox killer so he can handle the AL East.

Also Burnett is a sinker ball pitcher and we already have that with Wang. You know how Girardi loves matchups and having different styles of pitching. Wang followed by Lowe wont be as affective.

my fault I meant Lowe is a sinker ball pitcher not Burnett.

Sorry for the out of context comment but it has to be said. The NY Post made its preview of the season and... it has the Bombers making it to the WS but losing to the Phillies and the Mets losing in the NLCS to the Cubs.
Can't these guys at least check what there colleague wrote?

Guess what! I was released from the hospital around 45 minutes ago and i'm back home.

I'm guessing the Braves won.
