***Mark Teixeira Wrist Update***

(I also wrote this in my game summary below, but I want to make sure you all see it so I'll give it it's own post.)

During his post game interview Joe Girardi said that Tex has minor tendinitis just below the left wrist and is listed as day-to-day. He said he plans on playing him tomorrow since the Royals have a righty going and he's only having problems swining the bat right-handed, but will see how he feels tomorrow.

THANK YOU GOD!!!

Sorry I haven't been around all day.

No problem dude.

Tex is a huge bat for us, but if he's out for a few days, it's not a big deal. You have Swish in the lineup until Tex comes back, and the guy has a hot bat, and he's getting so playing time.

I agree. I'm not too concerned as long as it's nothing major, and it doesn't seem to be.

If he is out for a little while (most likely not), the only concern I have is the glove at first. I mean, Swish did good tonight with the scoop that CC threw, but is he a good enough first baseman? Ransom isn't doing his job. But I would think Swish would.

I totally agree Liam. His defense is very, very important. He makes playing defense easier for everyone in the infield because they know he will catch everything they throw at him.

As for Ransom, like I said in the game summary if he keeps this up he should be benched.

I know, Ransom should be hitting like when he came up last year. But remember, his numbers in triple A were almost good. His batting average was .255 or something. So maybe he's not an average hitter. But he should do the job at the hot corner.

I like to talk more but i'm also young and I need my rest. Later.

Yup, the very least he can do is play a solid third base, and he really hasn't. He's been OK, but not any than Ramiro Pena would do. Pena would actually most likely be better.

Hahahaha, later dude.

Are you THE Liam Galagher, from Oasis???

Greg Cohen said...

lol, no he's not the guy from Oasis. I used to think that's where he got the name from but he said a few weeks ago that it's his real name.

Can Ramiro Pena handle a start at 3rd for a game..??

Greg Cohen said...

What do you mean exactly?

I think he has the talent to at least do better than Ransom is doing.

I think he's asking about moving to third for a game when Pena is a SS/Middle IF guy. I'm pretty sure he could but Joe might be thinking this lineup ain't broke so lets not fix it. I'd disagree with that. Lets see where Ransom is in a week before we start benchcodyransom.org, which could replace startbubbacrosby.org.com.

Girardi played Pena at third during the spring, and he added him to the roster to be a utility guy so I'm sure Pena can handle it.

And I agree, give it a week, but at that point you can't keep a guy in the lineup who is an automatic out AND isn't playing well defensively.

Is Oasis a band?

Yes.
