The Yanks swept a doubleheader at Indianapolis (Pirates). They won the 10 AM first game 7-2. Game 2 they won by a 9-3 score. The wins put their record at 22-5 on the year.We are lucky enough to have a SWB report from BigGuy tonight.

(AAA) Scranton/Wilkes-Barre (21-5) beat Indianapolis 7-2 in game 1: Box Score - Recap
PITCHING: Casey Fossum made his 2nd start for the Yanks since being picked up last week as a minor league free agent. Fossum held Indianapolis scoreless thru the first 4 innings. He worked out of jams in the 2nd and 3rd. Fossum gave up 1 run in the 5th on a double and single. He left the game after 5 innings with a 3-1 lead. Fossum picked up the win (1-0)
Fossums' line: 5.0 IP, 1 run, 4 hits, 2 strikeouts-1 walk ERA 1.37
BULLPEN: Anthony Claggett came to pitch a pefect 6th inning. He got 2 quick outs in the 7th before giving up a run on a double and single for Indy's 2nd run.
OFFENSE: The Yanks broke to a 1-0 lead in the 2nd when Juan Miranda doubled, and Chris Malec drove him in with a RBI single. In the 4th, Malec also hit a solo homer (1). Luis Nunez singled and stole 2nd base. Doug Bernier drove Nunez in with a RBI single to up the lead to 3-0. In the 7th SWB put the game out of reach with 4 runs. Kevin Cash & Nunez singled. Bernier was HBP to load the bases. Todd Linden had the big blow with a bases clearing 3-run double. John Rodriguez folloed with a RBI single to make the score 7-1 at that point.

THE BULLPEN: JB Cox took over in the 5th inning and gave up 2 runs on a walk, 2 singles, and a sac fly that was given up by Zach Kroenke. Cox retired only 1 batter.
Zach Kroenke took over for Cox with 1 out and a runner at 3rd base. He gave up the sac fly to tie the score at 3 before getting out of the jam. Kroenke threw a scoreless 6th and was credited with the win (3-0).
Brett Tomko pitched a perfect 7th to end the game.
