Melky Cabrera left tonight's game in the bottom of the first after slamming into the center field wall. But the news from the Yankees is not as bad as you may have thought when he walked off the field. He has a strained right shoulder.
Peter Abraham is now reporting that Meky didn’t have an X-ray, he had a fluoro, whatever the hell that is, and it showed nothing. Melky will have an MRI tomorrow.

No bullshit, Shelley is batting .295 with 15HRs and 40RBi's why have we not even thought about bringing him up this year?
But the only outfielders on the 40-man are Melky, Damon, Gardner, Nady, and Swisher, so no matter who they call up for the outfield they won't be on the 40-man.

I think people consider him a AAAA player, but if Melky goes on the DL I would have no problem with them calling him up.
Duncan is not on the 40 man roster. They'd have to risk losing someone through waivers to put him on the 40 then call him up.

In that case, I'd DFA Berroa.
It really is amazing how thin the position players are on the 40 man roster.
I mean they already had to make a couple of moves on the 40 man and they lost players for it.
