Robertson Up To Replace Bruney

According to Peter Abraham, the Yankees have called up RHP David Robertson to replace the injured Brian Bruney on the roster. Since being sent back down to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre he struggled a bit, allowing 3 earned runs on six its in 6.2 innings pitched. He's struck out 11 and walked three.

I am not a farm guy, know very little about it, but whats going on with Wilkin De La Rosa, I seen him in Trenton once and was impressed, check in on his stats once and a while and doesnt seem to be doing badly. I just get sick of seeing the same guys get a chance, would like a young guy to come up and surprise us, ya know?

De La Rosa was very good in Tampa this year, going 1-0, 1.29 ERA, but has struggled a bit with Trenton going 1-2, with a 4.57 ERA in four games. They'll probably keep him in Trenton for the rest of the year.

Robertson has good stuff and I think he deserves another chance, so does Melancon for that matter.

It's gonna take someone to do what Joba did to surprise us because the Yanks are very slow to move pitchers along since they rushed Phil Hughes and Ian Kennedy.

I'm going to start a pool on how many times Robertson switches leagues this year.

Hopefully he can be good and this will be the last time.
