Yanks will drop big time if they lose this series with the Sox
So, with Chien-Ming Wang on the hill against knuckleballer Tim Wakefield tonight, will the Yanks finally beat the Red Sox?
My answer is undecided. I am just about ready to say I have lost faith in Wang, but he didn't pitch horrible in his last start Thursday versus Texas, a hot-hitting team. You have every right to call me crazy, but I think the 2007 version of Wang will show up tonight. I justh ave that feeling.
Wakefield is kinda a topsy-turvy pitcher. I've seen him throw 8 innings of 1 run ball, but the very next start he'll last just 4 and surrender 7 runs. My prediction is he'll give up at least 4 runs and pick up the loss.
I have a good feeling about the Yankees' offense, or at least I have the past 20 games. I think the recent 6+ runs a game offense will show up tonight.
All in all, I think the Yanks will win tonight and finally snap their skid against the Red Sox. I don't care what has happened in the past 5 years, go back the past 100 years. We are still the better team, and no matter what, we always will be.
GO YANKEES!!
YB,
With Wakefield everything depends on his knuckle ball. If he can locate it and it's knuckling, he'll be fine. If he doesn't have command of it he can walk the ballpark, and if it's not knuckling he'll get knocked around the yard.
