Hey YB, paintball was fun, I just got back from paintball... damn welts!
Anon, what do you mean marker? This is the first time I've played in years so I'm not familiar with all the lingo.
We played some capture that flag, and team deathmatch, and I'm not sure the right way to describe it, but one team has a base, and the other team has to take the base.
Nice shot Alex!
Ugh! Another crappy call by an umpire.
What else is new?
I'm sick of having to not only play the opposin team, but also the umpires.
It really is frustrating.
Big RBI for Cano... 4-0 Yanks.
Hinske seems to be enjoying the pinstripes early on. Two dingers already for us, when he only had one with the Pirates.
I do like him being on this team. He gives us a little more pop off the bench late in the game. I just wish they'd bring up Pena for Ransom. But oh well...
I like him so far.
I can't watching Abreu succeed.
lol I know what you mean, anon.
Looks like the Yanks are well on their way to blowing another four-run lead. This time thanks to Pettitte and his inability to hold a lead.
Pathetic that they can't beat this team.
Robertson? Girardi must not want to win. If this was a Red Sox game Robertson wouldn't even look at a ball.
Totally agree.
... What do you know, another call goes against the Yankees. How was Figgins safe there?
When is this overrated team going to play good against a good team?
I want robots to ump the games...
This team just can't beat the Angels, and as Jeter says, that's the bottom line.
Another Yankee pitcher can't get through the fifth.
Un-fucking-believable.
what a disaster...
if we can't beat the angels or red sox...what's the point...lol...
I'm so glad he brought Robertson into this game... 6-4 Angels.
Sigh.. Pettitte pitching to a 4.85 ERA...
The Yankees can't beat good teams because they are not that good. They are a middle of the road team with some decent starting pitching which wins vs. weaker opponets. Taht's it.
Cashman has done nothign else for this team except promote peopel who shouldn't be promoted and demote people that shouldn't be demoted. Therefore he deserves what he gets.
Watch Robertson walk someone or give up runs that wont be charged to him. Its his MO. But, all we will hear about is his 2.53 ERA.
Yankees=Choke Artists.
David Robertson's fastball is straight as an arrow. Why do the Yanks think this guy is good, and why did they keep him over Albaladejo?
Ever since they sent Pena down it's been bad move after bad move.
Anon, if you walk someone and that run scores it's charged to the pitcher who walked him....
Anyway, other anon, I can't disagree with that at all.
lol this team doesn't even have Vlad or Hunter.
So basically we have 2 reliable starting pitchers. thats trouble, big trouble
I wonder if/how good of a starter Cash gets before the deadline.
8-4 Angels... way to go Robertson!
Girardi just doesn't know how to use a bullpen.
With the way he's been pitching Robertson doesn't even belong with this team, let alone a close game that matters.
this is why i don't think aceves can be taken out of the bullpen right now...we need him in there...
if they need another starter...i would give mitre a shot....
It's because every situation he's been put in recently is in close games, and that's been his kryptonite. But Girardi continues to run him out there.
It's the fifth inning, though. Who is Girardi supposed to use?
Hughes? No.
Coke? No.
Aceves? Can't.
Melancon? Was beat up last night.
Bruney? Was beat up last night.
The only other guy is Tomko.

Agree let Robertson get mop up duty. This is where they need Aceves. It was a huge mistake having Aceves start Thursday.
Damn can Posada use his body to block the ball instead of just stick out his glove.
Dave Robertson sucks. Another Cashman player that is useless. Cashman is the biggest fuckign bafoon ever.
And, lets see another 7 runs given up by which catcher? Oh taht's right POSada. AGain. That's right Cashwoman send down Cervelli so we can have guy who gives up 6 runs per game and another catcher who hasn't played in 2 months. Brilliant GM work again.
Just imagine if it wasn't for two non-Yankee FA signings this team would be dead in the water. And, you guys support Cashwoman? Amazing.
Just think part 2, this team has some of the same starters on it that we're here the last time we won a playoff series and those people are now making over $10m + per year. How dumb is that? No wonder they can't beat good teams. Cashwoman strikes again!
I thougth Dave Robertson didn't give up runs EVERY time he pitched? Oh thats right he has a 2.53 era. So stupid of me. One more week and Robertson will be pusing double digit ERA. Great move CashDUMB.
That was the perfect time to use Hughes... he could settle things down for a couple innings, and they wouldn't have to worry about not having him soon since CC is going tomorrow and the AS break. But Girardi uses the rookie who's shown he can't handle the pressure situations yet....
With the recent trades the Royals/Mets made, we could have offered Berroa, Bruney, Veras for Greinke and actually gotten him... or maybe the Mets take on Pettite and Tomko for Santana...
Piece of shit POSada has given up another 9 fuckign runs today! He is such a joke as a catcher. Its beyond comical. Keep starting him ass wipes. Oh thats right you have no other choice because you dont know how to be a REAL Gm Cashwoman.
Another briliant move by Girardi. Pull Gardner for Melky. What did another young dumb Cashwoman player do? Oh taht's right he struckout.
Wow, at least Hinske is swinging the bat well. One of Cashman's recent moves that has not yet blown up in his face. Hooray!
Maybe Hinske can get some of Swisher's ABs.
Possibly, and Bill, you're 100% correct. This and yesterday are perfect examples of why Aceves must stay in the pen. He made the pen a good unit, without him they're not so great.
I'm starting to have thoughts of starting Nova... but I guess that's too greedy...
anon, you have officially proven you are a 5 year old functioning with the brain of a met fan. Cashwomen? real funny and mature
Well what did you expect when you have Girardi and Cashman running things? You expected good decisions? The only reason this team went on that winning streak was the teams we played. Other than that they are fair to midland. Thanks to Cashwoman and Retardi.
Cashwoman is her name because he makes decisions and choices like woman do. Stupid, emotional and not based on facts.
Ahhhhhh yes another 10 run performance by Posada.
ok fine anon, the red sox never play bad teams. Only the yankees play the bad teams which makes them look so good. Who have your red sox played the last series? the Royals, athletics, and mariners. O and they havnt exactly played the best against them.
Back to back jacks!
screw the home run derby this is better!!
Do it, Hinske!
Geeez, Coke can't even get anybody out. It's amazing, no matter how good they're playing, as soon as they step into LA they become a mediocre team at best.
Boston is already up 3-0. So the Yanks will be two out and just two up on the Angels in the wild card.
What a crappy weekend.
Posada cant block the ball in the dirt. Two strikeouts today got on base and scored runs and continued innings.
And Figgins was out trying to steal 2nd he was out last night two. The umpires have been brutal since the Toronto series there have been so many bad calls against the yankees.
We always play bad in Anahiem for the last decade. Its so odd because so many players and even the manager have changed.
Its funny that angels look all world against us and then bend over for the red sox.
You suck Jeter. Do us a favor and retire and or at least play for a reasonable amoutn of money.
Posada sucks. Another huge runs allowed game by none other than.....? POSada. Typical, very typical. This team will NEVER win in the playoffs with this guy catching. NEVER.
pathetic, we just flat out suck vs the Angels.. everything goes wrong for us, and everything goes right for them.. all the time. I cant stand it. Why cant we beat them? Whens the last time we won a series in Anaheim?.. it shows us that we're the same yankee team that wont get out the 1st round of the playoffs, if we get there.. i hope im wrong.... we are awful against the Angels and now we cant beat the Sox, 2 of teams we have to beat in order to get number 27.. 24 hours ago I was flying high, feeling good about this team, now im not.
@ Dan
Hopefully the texas rangers beat the angels and win the al west.
So now the Yankees are 2-3 vs. Angels this year…
Chance to go 3-3 tomorrow…
And have a 4-2 road trip…
No worse than 2 games out of 1st…
And in lead for the Wild Card.
Disaster???? Hmmm…
good point lightened up my mood abit :)
>> That was the perfect time to use Hughes... he could settle things down for a couple innings <<
That's not what Hughes does. Hughes is a setup guy now, not a fifth-inning guy.
Robertson was really the only guy to use in the fifth. Him or Tomko. That's really it.
You people kill me.
You guys blame every single fucking loss on Girardi. It's just stupid. Sometimes you just lose. It's baseball. It happens.
hey greg, by marker i meant the type of "gun" you were using.
Ahhh ... I have no idea, whatever they were giving out as rentals. They sucked.
Is killing you bad?
