Sorry for the back-to-back Red Sox posts, but I just came across this bit of news and felt like passing it along. Alex Gonzalez is headed back to Boston after the Sox acquired the short stop from the Reds today.
Gonzalez is making $5.37 million this year and will be a free agent at the end of the season. With the Reds Gonzalez was hitting .210/.258/.296 with 3 homers and 26 RBI.
Good job Theo....... lol.

I guess the miserable failings of Smoltz, Baldelli, Saito and the other losers didnt teach Theo his lesson...what a fool.
Nick Green has hardly been their biggest problem. If Alex Gozalez makes any significant impact I will be very surprised. (Watch he goes and hits .600 in Texas now)
I looked at this post really quick and thought it said Adrian Gonzalez at first and almost fainted. Then I realized it was Alex and got a good laugh out of the move.
I wonder why the Sox change shortstops every year? It's a critical position and yet, there's somebody new all the time with them. Not that I mind! Gonzalez is not going to help them with their offense.
If the Yanks pickup just a game or two on them during this road trip, the series in Boston will be meaningless.
Yanks announced Joba was gonna make the Sunday start. No 7-day-rest start.
Concerning Gonzalez, I can't worry about that. Someone released by the Reds can't be too damaging to Yankee Universe. Not much of an upgrade over Green.

Panic move!!
Nick Green wasn't the answer, so they had to get somebody. At least Alex Gonzalez one can play defense.
