The bullpen sucked tonight.

Oh well. Hopefully the yanks play better tomorrow when I am there.

This bullpen performance reminded me of the games in april. Oh wait those april pitchers were the ones pitching tonight.

Just got back from the Stadium...had to catch the last train home! It was great to be there to see DJ pass the Iron Horse's record but I have to say playing a game in that weather was debatable to say the least. Andy was iffy and Marte sucked. Still, you can't have it all!

I just got back myself, Bruce.

The weather was awful, but nothing compared to the terrible relief decisions made by Girardi. We've seen, time and time again, that Marte is not an inning at a time guy, more like a lefty at a time. Instead he brings him in to face pretty much nothing by righties and he paid. Then he goes with Edwar, which is the time I started to exit. I knew he'd get hammered and waited around long enough to see the first two runs off him. He managed this game as if it didn't matter.

Hi Greg. Agree with you 100 percent about Marte but you can't keep using the main guys (like Mo, Hughes, Aceves, Coke, Bruney) every night. They could have done with Robertson tonight. I think that once Marte had given up the lead, Girardi decided the game was over. Just goes to show how much we rely on the A-team. Still, it was disappointing to see them cough up a 4-1 lead quite so easily.

Jonathan Albaladejo was the guy to go to in that inning. Save Marte for Markakis later in the game.

Not a big Abletoblowit fan, although he's done ok on his latest stint back in the bigs. Going to give the bullpen a pass tonight as they've been brilliant for most of the season. Just hope the Yanks bounce back tomorrow...weather permitting, of course.

i didn't get to finish the game earlier coz of the black-out here in our place. It sucks and it sucks even more that the yanks didn't win it today. I hope they win tomorrow as well. As for Derek Jeter he was brilliant!! :D
