Yesterday it was the Foul Poles, Today it's the Frieze

Yesterday, WCBS880's Tom Kaminski showed us the foul poles coming down. Today, the frieze started to come down. You can check out the rest of the gallery here. (hat-tip to Peter Abraham)

It seems like the demolition of The Stadium has started to pick up the pace. Someone mentioned on this blog yesterday that the upper deck is likely the first part of the main structure that will come down. That sounds about right, and once they take out all the things they can sell that process should begin.

g-money, my best friend left for college last week, and he told me that on of the E's in the front of the stadium is down! scary to see the "YANKEE STADIUM" letters down off the stadium! sadd sight to see!

It really is sad to see.

Woops forgot to mention... Yea the YANKEE STADIUM letters will be the next thing to come down completely. Then they'll remove the black and the rest of the bleacher sections, then probably start knocking the main structure down.

Hey Greg. Just got back from school. Sorry I wasn't around for the past three or four days. My internet and cable hasn' been working. A wire got hit by lighting. I've been listening all the games on the radio but now I can watch it on TV and talk to you guys!

I don't want to look at those pics. To sad.

So sad. I can't even look at these pics. It's really sad to see the Stadium in the state it's in.

I've said this before, it's like watching your great grandma go through a slow, painful death.

My dad said that red sox fans were probably hired. It would be emotional for yankee fans.

boy I hope he's joking.

Liam Gallagher said...

He was.

How's it going YB?

Brian Danuff said...

Oh.

Coming back to school yesterday was pretty cool. I met up with my friends again and we had a good time. Too bad summer is over though, it went by so quick.

I'm doing good, set to play my first fall league (baseball) game soon. It's not the school's league, it's a travel team for my town. I'm set to start for my team for the first game.

I'm starting Saturday. My doctor told me to only play first and bat right handed. (I bat better righty anyway). I can't pitch though. My violcety is at 70-72 now. But he wants me not throw hard to often.

My first day of school on Monday was good. I got to see all my friends and evrything. But when I got home from school the past three days I could watch Tv or go on the computer. So I was board until today.
