UPDATED: Bad Weather Might Hurt The Yanks

As of right now, which is 8:09 eastern time, there is a 90% chance of rain on Friday, the day of Game 1. It has already been said that Game 1 will be played Saturday, and Game 2 Sunday, then Game 3 in LA on Monday, if there is a rainout. This would put the schedule at:

Saturday the 17th: Sabathia vs Lackey
Sunday the 18th: Burnett vs Saunders
Monday the 19th: Pettitte vs Weaver
Tuesday the 20th: TBA vs Kazmir

This would mean Chad Gaudin would likely have to make a start in Game 4, no matter what. And that scares me a bit, especially in Los Angeles. Us Yankee fans better pray for rain on Saturday, or no rain at all- that way CC can go Game 4.

How would this effect the Yanks if there were to be a Friday rainout?

UPDATED (8:29 PM): This from Joel Sherman of the Post:
"Mother Nature, FOX and the NFL are threatening the Yankees’ plans to use CC Sabathia as many as three times in the ALCS.

"The weather forecast is for heavy rains this weekend and the Commissioners Office is particularly fearful that Friday night’s ALCS opener at the Stadium is in strong peril of being postponed.

"If that is the case, Game 1 would be played on Saturday and Game 2 on Sunday, which is currently scheduled as an off-day. However, because the Angels vs. Yankees is a FOX series, the Commissioners Office will probably move the ALCS game to Sunday night so as not to coincide with the network’s 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. NFL telecasts."
Sherman went on to also say:
"In that scenario, Games 3, 4 and 5 would be played on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. At present, there is an off-day on Wednesday. That off-day – without any postponements – was going to enable the Yankees to start Sabathia in Game 1, on short rest in Game 4 and – if it were necessary – on normal rest for Game 7."
I don't want to get Greg in trouble, but go and read the full post here.

So, it wasn't as I initially had said, but similar. The schedule would change, and it seems that Gaudin would not have to pitch, but as he's saying, CC would have to pitch games 4, and if necessary, game 7 on short rest AND A.J. Burnett would have to pitch Game 5 on short rest.
