Alfredo Aceves will skip tomorrow’s scheduled relief appearance because of a sore back. Joe Girardi said Aceves has been tight and “a little out of line” for a few days and the Yankees decided today to give him a few days off.
Jennings went on to say that this could possibly keep Aceves off the Opening Day roster, but as of now Girardi believe that won't be an issue. This is something that Ace dealt with last year and missed nine days because of it. However, according to Girardi, he's better than he was over the weekend. If I hear any more about this I will update this post.
