A study by Sporting Intelligence tabs our New York Yankees as having the highest paid per player average in all of sports. The inaugural ARGSS (Annual Review Of Global Sports Salaries) lists the highest payrolls in the world and they are as follows:

I guess what I am saying, is that everyone keeps saying that baseball salaries are spiraling out of control, yet these numbers seem to perhaps tell a different story.
One thing is definitely certain though...the Yankees are NUMBER ONE on yet another list.
