First for the Phillies game, which the Yankees won 7-5.
- Javier Vazquez made his first spring appearance for the Yanks, and things didn't start off well when he allowed a solo homer to Jimmy Rollins to start the game. "The important thing is that I got my work in," said Vazquez. "I'm throwing all my pitches. I threw the ball good."
- Jonathan Albaladejo allowed three hits, but finally pitched a scoreless to lower his spring ERA to 47.25.
- Amaury Sanit picked up the win with 1.1 scoreless innings.
- Robinson Cano picked up two RBI along with another two hits--a single and a double--to raise his average top .778 this spring.
- Nick Swisher went 2-for-3, with two doubles, and 3 RBI.
