Montero Goes Yard For First Time This Season

Since today is a pretty quiet day in Yankeeland I figured this was worth a mention. In today's SWB Yanks game against the Buffalo Bisons, Jesus Montero went 2-for-4, including his first homer of the season, a solo shot off knuckleballer R.A. Dickey in the second. The Yankees eventually won the game 7-2.

Browsing some message boards I was noticing that some fans were beginning to wonder why he hadn't hit one yet, so you can all relax now. The two hits brought Montero's average up to .300 on the season. I'll have more on this game and the rest on the Yankees minor league schedule later tonight in the minor league report.
