- Brandon Laird was also scratched.
- Francisco Cervelli has a grade 1 hamstring strain. It's mild but the Yankees are still concerned that he may not be ready by opening day. He will likely sit out the rest of the games this spring.
- Mark Teixeira is fine after being hit on the elbow by Jeremy Guthrie the other day, and will be in the lineup today.
- Alfredo Aceves will test his bad back in tomorrow's game. The Yankees will see how he feels after and then decided whether he will be able to make the opening day roster.
