Posada Eyes Saturday Return

From :
Jorge Posada (strained right shoulder), who started at DH last night, said he's "pushing for Saturday" to return behind the plate. He also said he's sick of discussing his shoulder. "It's getting good, I'm throwing," he said. "I could have played [last night]. They didn't want me to."
This will be good for the Yankees offense because it will allow Matsui and Damon to play on the same day, something they have not be able to do in 6 of the last 8 games.

Speaking of eyes, did you hear that pregame update Suzyn did on Wilson Betemit?

Turns out its not just pink eye, he has ulcerations on both eyes, and hasnt been able to see at times since early march.

He still is a punk, but that explains why he hasnt hit a lick from the left side at all. He's takin drops to repair the tear on both corneas, lets hope he can come back full force and be a good stick off the bench with that pop we saw last year.

Tho I must say, not saying anything about is very Pavano of him and pretty cowardly, cause you KNOW he wouldntve made the team if he told people about it.

Wow, hopefully there is no lasting damage to Betemit's eyes.

I agree, players have to put the team first and be honest about their injuries.
