The Yanks fell to a game under .500, and right back into last place with today's 6-1 loss to the Orioles.

The one bright spot of the day was Yanks' starter Darrell Rasner who pitched great. In 6 IP he allowed just 1 run on 5 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 3. The one run came on a solo HR by Nick Markakis.

The bullpen today was terrible. Latroy Hawkins gave up 3 runs (all earned) on 2 hits in .2 of an inning, and Jose Veras was just as bad. He allowed 2 runs on 2 hits in 1.1 IP, but he allowed a big 3-run homer to Aubrey Huff, which turned a 3-0 game into a 6-0 game.

ORIOLES PITCHES

Apparently today was not only a day off for you and me, but for the Yankees' offense as well. They did nothing against O's starter Garrett Olson, managing just 3 hits and 4 walks. The 1 run the Yanks did score came in the 9th on an RBI single by Chad Moeller which scored Hideki Matsui who went 3-for-4 on the day. Matsui was the only Yankee who did anything against Olson.
